The third West Auckland Heritage Conference will take place on Sunday 7th of October, 2018. We’ll be back in Titirangi, now the War Memorial Hall has been reopened after repairs.

Other locations for talks will be the Titirangi Library next door, the fabulous Te Uru and Lopdell House. The day will start with registrations at 9 am and will finish with drinks at 5 pm, with a day of shared stories in between.

The theme for 2018 is The Creative West. The Waitākere Ranges were an inspiration for many artists, from famous painters like Colin McCahon to groups like the Oratia Swing Kings.

Discover the stories of artists, musicians, architects and performers from west Auckland and how they influenced contemporary artists.
